Drug use in the State of Punjab had long back taken the shape of Drug Abuse, and now, today with each passing day the situation is just getting worse. Right from an adult to a new born, majority of its population,despiteof any social strata, is walking towards the darkness of addiction. And hence, it’s the time to pull the socks up and make some serious interventions that will not just reduce but completely eradicate this menace from the State.Therefore in light of the same, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under its drug abuse eradication program Bodh has started a drug- de-addiction campaign named ‘UNMOOLAN’ for the complete eradication of drug abuse from the state of Punjab through its prevention and treatment interventions. And, as it rightly said that
“Older men declare war. But it is youth that must fight and die.”

A Training of Trainers session was held in Phillaur, Punjab where more than 55 volunteers were trained on the various issues of drug abuse under the banner of Bodh's Volunteer Training Program 'Bodh Kaksha'. They were not only trained on the various conceptsand issues relating to the subject of the campaign but also on psychology of the youth towards drug abuse. Via activities and demonstrations they were given extensive training about the execution of various mass awareness tools, so that when the campaign gets it momentum these volunteers would be well fortified to conduct communities program, workshops at schools and colleges.
The participant’s interactive and enthusiastic participation not only made the training a huge success but also exhibited today’s Youth’s determination to create a positive change in the society.
