‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others’, working in this direction Rotaract Club of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Of Commerce (SGGSCC), University of Delhi invited Manthan SVK- a holistic education program of DJJS in their event “Aagaz 18”- an installation ceremony of the newly elected president Rtr. Yatharth Gupta and his team, held on 24th Sept’18.
The dignitaries at the event included senior Rotarians, members of parent rotary club and Chief Guest Mahesh Gupta (President), Guest of honour Prashant Sehgal (Past President), Mrs Jasjit Kaur Kochar (Club Convenor & Committee Member), PHF Ashima Agarwal (District Rotaract Representative RID 3011), Asit Gupta (Joint Secretory) Rotaract Club of New Delhi Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Program Coordinator, Manthan SVK, DJJS. The event inaugurated with lamp lightning by the chief guests and inspirational speech given by the members of the Rotaract Club. The highlight of the event was the marvellous dance performance of the Manthanites from Mangolpuri center on a patriotic song that made everyone spellbound.
The Rotaractors explained their selfless service to the society and the accomplishments of the club in the last quarter. Through presentations, the team unfolded their upcoming projects of the session 2018-19. The club emphasized on the projects that were organized in association with Manthan SVK like Adult Literacy Centre and Prashikshan- the sewing and stitching centre.
Dr. Jatinder Bir Singh (Principal SGGSCC) elucidated about the working of the Rotaract Club and how it is giving an opportunity to young generation to step forward and change the plight of the society. They encouraged the collaboration of Rotaract with Manthan SVK and their integrated efforts that is benefitting the lives of underprivileged children.
The event was concluded by the pinning ceremony of the new elected members of the club, the dignitaries adorned the team with badges and the new team took an oath to work selflessly and with full responsibility.
