Driven by the vision of a healthier society, Aarogya – the Holistic Health Program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan – has been advancing on the path of wellness through its various health initiatives such as health camps, OPDs, awareness sessions, and more. A key aspect of these initiatives is the strategic collaboration with renowned organizations and institutions, enabling experts to reach individuals directly in their local areas.

Aarogya Health Camps Transform 4,331 Lives Through 23 Compassion-Driven Medical Drives

From March to May 2025, Aarogya successfully conducted 23 health camps in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Bihar, benefiting a total of 4,331 individuals. These initiatives extended beyond basic health screenings and also provided valuable education on health maintenance and hygiene practices, empowering people to take charge of their health.

Delhi Camps

Aarogya Health Camps Transform 4,331 Lives Through 23 Compassion-Driven Medical Drives

Aarogya organized 17 specialised health camps at Divya Dham Ashram, Delhi, providing ayurvedic, dental, and eye health services:

  • Ayurveda Camp (May 4):
    This complimentary Ayurvedic camp was held in collaboration with Ayurvedic & Unani Tibbia College and Hospital, Delhi. Participants benefited by gaining insights into their unique body constitutions (Vaat, Pitta & Kapha), exploring pulse diagnosis, learning about herbal remedies, and receiving personalized Ayurvedic consultations for holistic well-being. This impactful camp was led by Dr. Manoj K. Shamkuwar, Medical Superintendent and Head of the Department of Panchkarma, along with his dedicated team of 9 doctors. It will now be organized regularly on the first Sunday of every month to ensure ongoing access to quality Ayurvedic care.
  • Eye Camps (March–May):

In collaboration with the Community Ophthalmology Department, Dr. R.P. Centre, AIIMS Delhi, DJJS Aarogya has been organizing weekly free eye camps at Divya Dham Ashram since 2012.

During March to May 2025, 10 camps were held (March 3, 10, 17, 24; April 7, 21, 28; May 5, 19, 26), benefiting 1,322 individuals.

Patients were screened for cataract (with free surgeries arranged at AIIMS), provided spectacles at subsidized rates, and given free medicines for other eye conditions.

  • Dental Camps (March–May):

Since 2018, DJJS Aarogya, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health Dentistry, PGIDS Rohtak, has been organizing Free Dental Health Check-up & Treatment Camps at Divya Dham Ashram, Delhi, to serve the underserved rural communities in the surrounding areas.

As part of this ongoing initiative, six camps were held on March 1 & 15; April 5 & 19; May 3 & 19, benefiting 159 individuals.

A team of 10 dental experts led by Dr. Vipul Yadav provided consultations, preventive care, and basic treatments during each camp.

Bihar Camps

Expanding outreach in Saharsa and Patna, health camps in Bihar provided vital healthcare services along with general wellness education:

  • Saharsa (March 1–31):
    A month-long camp benefited 800 people, offering free check-ups and raising awareness on healthy lifestyle practices.

 

  • Patna (April 23–28):
    This week-long camp served 625 individuals, providing both treatment and awareness on long-term healthcare.

 

Specialized Maharashtra Camps: 

In Amravati, Maharashtra, three targeted camps focused on key physiological health issues:

  • Liver Camp (March 16):  Helped 385 people to understand liver health and care along with providing treatment.
  • Thyroid Camp (April 17):  Assisted 550 individuals with thyroid concerns, emphasizing the role of exercise and diet.
  • Blood Sugar and Thyroid Camp (April 27): 320 people were provided diagnosis that helped them gain crucial insights into their health around blood sugar and thyroid.

Uttar Pradesh Camp: 

Ayurvedic camp in Gorakhpur on March 16, benefited 72 individuals. Ayurvedic experts Dr. B.N. Mishra and BAMS Dr. Indrajeet Sharma led the consultations. This camp also enlightened people about the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment to eradicate the disease from its roots.

Through its consistent efforts and collaborations with esteemed institutions like AIIMS Delhi, PGIDS Rohtak, and Ayurvedic & Unani Tibbia College and Hospital, DJJS Aarogya continues to deliver quality healthcare to those who need it the most. These camps are more than just statistics—they stand as a testament to the program’s unwavering commitment to serving humanity with compassion, care, and consciousness.

These health camps unequivocally demonstrate that, “More than just a check-up, a health camp is a promise of care and a step towards a healthier tomorrow for all."
