Patiala—a city steeped in culture, education, and vibrant community life—is also quietly grappling with the unseen weight of modern challenges. Beneath its bustling markets and academic energy, people of all ages are facing stress, anxiety, and emotional fatigue. Yet, due to stigma and lack of accessible platforms, conversations around mental health often remain unspoken.

To address this, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS)—through its holistic health program Aarogya—has introduced Manobalam – Harnessing Inner Strength, a Patiala-based mental health campaign dedicated to empowering the city’s residents with awareness, tools, and practical strategies for emotional resilience. Aarogya works on physical, mental, and spiritual health, and Manobalam focuses specifically on strengthening mental and emotional well-being.
The campaign offers a variety of tailored programs for officials, women, communities, college students, school children, youth, and the elderly, blending ancient spiritual wisdom with modern mental wellness practices.

The journey in Patiala began with the Launch Event on 22nd June 2025 at Clarion Inn Hotel, Sirhind Road, bringing together over 198 participants from diverse walks of life. The event received notable press coverage for its engaging sessions that inspired reflection, self-awareness, and practical action. More than a one-day gathering, it marked the start of an ongoing movement—rooted in Patiala—that reminds everyone: true strength begins within.
