‘Making Every Day Yoga Day: DJJS Aarogya's Yoga 365 Movement Inspires Wellness Across India and Beyond

Codified by Maharishi Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras, this ancient wisdom remains deeply rooted in India's civilizational heritage and continues to guide generations in their pursuit of holistic well-being.

Every year on 21 June, millions across the world roll out yoga mats, perform asanas, and celebrate International Yoga Day. But one powerful question remains: What happens on the other 364 days?

‘Making Every Day Yoga Day: DJJS Aarogya's Yoga 365 Movement Inspires Wellness Across India and Beyond

For DJJS Aarogya, the answer is simple: "Yoga is not a one-day event it is a way of life."

Guided by the timeless teaching of Maharishi Patanjali's -"स तु दीर्घकाल नैरन्तर्य सत्कारासेवितो दृढभूमिः॥"

"Practice becomes firmly established when pursued for a long time, without interruption and with sincere dedication."

Inspired by this philosophy, DJJS Aarogya launched the Yoga 365 initiative in 2023 to encourage people to make yoga, meditation, and holistic wellness a part of their daily lives—not just an annual celebration.

Long before "Yoga 365" became a national theme, DJJS Aarogya was promoting wellness as a daily habit. Through yoga camps, meditation sessions, wellness workshops, health awareness drives, and the #Take365DaysYogaChallenge, the initiative has inspired thousands to adopt healthier lifestyles amidst rising stress, anxiety, and lifestyle disorders.

A Movement Growing Since 2023

What started as a vision has now grown into a nationwide wellness movement. Since its launch in 2023, the Yoga 365 initiative has achieved remarkable impact:

  • 879+ wellness events organized
  • 1,11,968+ beneficiaries reached
  • 28 partnerships established
  • Programs delivered through 350+ participating DJJS branches

The movement has positively impacted students, professionals, homemakers, senior citizens and youth through collaborations with educational institutions, healthcare organizations, government bodies, community groups, wellness centres and initiatives under the Ministry of Ayush's Yoga Sangam programme.

Building on this momentum, DJJS Aarogya celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 through its flagship "Vilakshan Yog & Dhyaan – Sadhana Shivir." The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation across:

  • 179 Locations Worldwide
  • 177 Locations across 16 Indian States and Union Territories
  • 2 locations observed international participation at Fresno, California (USA) and Melbourne, Australia

In this more than conventional yoga sessions, participants experienced yogasana demonstrations, pranayama, guided meditation, wellness talks, community outreach activities, and preventive healthcare initiatives. For many, these sessions became an opportunity to reduce stress, restore balance and deepen spiritual connection.

The impact of the initiative's contribution to preventive healthcare, public wellness and community empowerment received widespread recognition. All major DJJS Aarogya Yoga Day events were registered on the Government of India's Yoga Sangam Portal, earning 120+ Yoga Sangam Certificates, along with several Certificates of Appreciation and Letters of Recognition from Government and Non-government organizations.
