Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under the blissful guidance of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji organized seven-day Bhagwan Shiv Katha program in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from 3rd to 9th December, 2023. The orator of the event, Dr. Sarveshwar Ji unveiled the profound essence of eternal truth woven within the cosmic persona of Lord Shiva.
Dr. Sarveshwar Ji said that Lord Shiva, often referred to as 'Ashutosh' due to his easy-to-please nature, finds joy in simple offerings, reflecting his compassionate and easily appeased demeanor. Conversely, his swift and fierce temper makes him known as 'Rudra’. Lord Shiva is the destroyer who annihilates misdeeds and imperfections. The Nataraj form of Lord Shiva, symbolizes the simultaneous acts of creation and destruction through his rhythmic mudras. Ardhanarishwar form of Lord Shiv, depicts the union of Shiva and Shakti, energies in one divine entity.
One event of Lord Shiva’s life narrated at the Katha was: during the churning of the interstellar ocean, a potent poison, Halahala, emerged, threatening the universe's existence. To safeguard all beings, Lord Shiva selflessly drank the poison, holding it in his throat, which turned blue. His act of consuming the poison gave Him the name, Neelkantha, meaning the one with a blue throat.
The understanding of the divine form of Lord Shiva can only be attained by 'Divine Knowledge' from a perfect master. In the present moment, His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is imparting the identical 'Divine Knowledge' to the masses and is steadfast in His commitment to fostering global peace by inner awakening in all individuals.
