DJJS organized 7 days Bhagwan Shiv Katha from 2nd to 8th November, 2022 at Champawat, Uttarakhand with the blessings and divine guidance of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head and Founder, DJJS). The event witnessed large footfall of Devotees from far and near places. The musical melodious bhajans along with scientific presentation of the Katha pulled the attention of the Devotees and mesmerized them.
The orator of the Katha Dr. Sarveshwar Ji (Preacher Disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji) beautifully narrated the katha-amrit with many slokas from ‘Shiv Puran’ along with their description. Lord Shiva is often referred to as “the God of Destruction”. Shiva's destruction is positive and constructive which transforms life and energy for the welfare of the world. He destroys in order to re-generate life and facilitate transformation of Nature. He destroys our imperfections to ensure our spiritual progress.
The orator described the entire attire of Lord Shiva along with symbolic meaning that carried a deep spiritual message. He is dressed in just a tiger skin with snakes round his neck and arms, a necklace of human skulls and his body is covered with ash too. The body of Lord Shiva is smeared with cemetery ashes so as to point towards the philosophy of life and death where death is the ultimate reality of life. The third eye on His forehead is symbolic of spiritual awakening.
The orator further stated that the meditative pose of Lord Shiva symbolizes peace that helps one to overcome everyday battles and sort out issues. In today’s time too, every human needs to practice such meditation based on the ancient science of Brahm Gyan which calms minds and washes out one’s previous sins. Our scriptures highlight that only the Perfect Master of the time can bless a being with such Brahm Gyan based meditation technique.
We really need to understand that spirituality has never been a concept just for old people. Our scriptures are brimmed with examples where Dhruv and Prahlad were blessed with Brahm Gyan right in their childhood. They meditated so ardently that not only it calmed their mind, but also helped them to face the difficulties of their life with ease. Even today, we need such a powerful tool right from the early childhood so as to become strong to face every situation of life.
The orator concluded by saying that everyone should put in some efforts to find such Perfect Master of the time so that they too can be bestowed upon with the knowledge of Brahm Gyan. We feel blessed to say that our spiritual mentor- Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji who has not just mastered the science of Brahm Gyan himself, but has also made it reachable to masses.
