To play any musical instrument, the most essential aspect is to tune it. In the absence of tuning, it is impossible to produce melodious notes from it. Likewise, this life is an instrument. And, to play soothing notes of peace and wisdom from it, it is essential to tune it. In the spiritual parlance, 'Satsangs (Spiritual discourses)' play the role of a tuner, which tune us on to the path of spirituality. Satsang offers the means to bring reformation in life. It is through satsang that one gets to know the real aim of life. He learns about the importance of human birth.
Thus, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) through its various programs, is making continuous endeavours to spread the message of inner awakening through the divine science of “Brahm Gyan” under the supreme guidance and blessings of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS). Taking a step further, DJJS recently organised 7 day “Shrimad Bhagwat Katha” from 23 Oct - 29 Oct' 2017 at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. People in large number gathered to attend the spiritual discourse. Many dignitaries also marked their presence in the event. The melodious bhajans filled the hearts of disciples with devotion.
Sadhvi Aastha Bharti Ji, orator and disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji beautifully narrated the Katha and explained to the masses about the life and deeds of Lord Krishna and their significance. Nobody could escape Krishna’s divine charm and grace. Krishna constantly acted as the friend, philosopher and guide to Arjuna in the battlefield. Arjuna was backing down because he had to kill his own brothers and fight against his teachers. At that point, Lord Krishna gave him the lesson of Bhakti Yoga which means to detach oneself from the expectation of results.
Talking further on human life and its purpose, the orator stated that everything in this world is mortal. Therefore, it is captive! It binds us, it restricts our immortal nature. Saint Brahmananda advised– “Don't give your body and mind to the world and its sensual enjoyments, as the world shall destroy them.” The soul is a particle of divinity, immortal, conscious, untainted by maya, and blissful in nature. Such a soul has allowed itself to be dominated by maya and has been caught in its trap like a parrot and a monkey.
The divine science is the most profound knowledge embedded with the practical realization of the immortal soul. Its enlightening tendency can liberate one from all sorts of delusions. Bible states: 'The kingdom of God is within you' and 'this body is a living temple of God.' Moreover, it is important to comprehend that the knowledge (i.e., Divine Knowledge or Brahm Gyan) bestowed upon by the Perfect Spiritual Master remains the same in all ages and at all times. He would bring people from the darkness to light, from untruth to truth, and from death to immortality. He would show them the path of salvation and take them to liberation. He will bestow upon us the practical Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan), by obtaining which we can rest in celestial peace.
It is only after realizing self through Divine Knowledge, one can truly understand God and love him eternally. A true lover of God nurtures immense gratitude in his heart and so is able to receive the good, the sweet as well as the bitter in the form of a gift from his beloved Lord. Thus, keeping an indifferent approach towards joy and sorrows, a disciple is able to attain the goal of life through the grace of his spiritual mentor.
