Everything that exists, will change, will deteriorate and ultimately wither away. And this occurs to every single life-form on this Earth, including us humans. Our lives are like bubbles of water: momentary, fleeting and bound to burst. One must deeply and thoroughly weigh the answer to why am I here? What is the reality? What must be the aim of life? What is the ultimate truth?
To implore the hearts of the audience onto seeking answers to these fundamental and existential questions, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized the program of Devotional Concert themed ‘Bhaj Govindam’ at Patiala Punjab, on November 05, 2016. DJJS’s very own eloquent orator, Sadhvi Rupeshwari Bharti Ji, through the Bhaj Govindam devotional concert shed light on the essence of the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Sastras, and Puranas in an unequivocal and clearly formulated manner.
Through the spiritual discourse in the devotional concert, Sadhvi Rupeshwari Bharti Ji explained the realities of life and advised the audience to strive to attain the state of the highest knowledge, the state of enlightenment. She further elaborated that when one attains the state of enlightenment, then the life is emancipated from all its addendums, worldly relations and attachments. Enlightenment is a state of mind where the sense of finitude is removed.
Sadhvi Rupeshwari Bharti Ji elucidated that to achieve this highest state of knowledge and self-realization and the state of enlightenment, the grace of a preceptor - GURU is indispensable. One must surrender and devote oneself to the Guru and thus one will be released from the shackles of this samsara- chakra, from the empirical limitations of this life and the unending sufferings. This is the highest goal of life.
Sadhvi Rupeshwari Bharti Ji, through the verses of Bhaj Govindam made the audience realize that time is the most precious commodity in this limited span of life and one must strive to secure the vision of God. By implementing the essence of Bhaj Govindam, which is like a shining lantern of knowledge, in one’s life, one can remove ignorance and understand illusions of this samsara and fully concentrate the mind on contemplating the divine. This is how one can rectify one’s life and attain the state of Nirvana – the state of enlightenment.
