Only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have. For it is in giving that we receive. No one has even become poor by giving. To get the full value of joy, we must have someone to divide it with. To celebrate this spirit of giving, Daan Utsav is celebrated every year from 2nd October to 8th October. Manthan-SVK, an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan celebrates this joy of giving whole year by imparting education to underprivileged children of the society. This year as well, Manthan SVK celebrated this spirit in association with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Promotional counters were put up at metro stations such as Sector-18, Rohini and Sector-21, Dwarka in Delhi. DMRC colonies like Vidhan Sabha and Shastri Park also witnessed the spirit of the event.

Delhi metro celebrated this event by setting up collection drives at various metro stations where people can donate books and stationary at designated centres. On 4th October 2019, DMRC organized a visit for the students of Manthan-SVK, Shakurpur, Delhi. 45 Manthanites and 5 teachers enjoyed the metro joy ride from Pitampura to Patel Chowk Metro station. Metro staff was readily available to guide all the children. Mr. N.D. Khanna (Metro museum coordinator) greeted all at Patel Chowk metro station where metro museum is situated. DMRC had organized a museum visit for the students where Mr. Khanna explained various facts, functioning and rules of metro to the students. A puppet show was also organized to explain the rules of DMRC. Children immensely enjoyed the joy ride as well as the puppet show. Visit to the museum was also extremely informative for the students. At the end of the day, children were also provided refreshments and ended the day with a back journey to Pitampura metro station. The epic event was captured in the camera as well with a group shot. Manthan students were immensely thankful to DMRC for their involvement and thanked them for a refreshing and informative day.
