Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, established and run under the mentorship of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS) is continuously working towards achieving its objective of “World Peace” through the eternal science of self-realization – 'Brahm Gyan', uprooting in its way all social evils and threats. Taking one more step in this direction, DJJS conducted a Devotional Concert in Ludhiana, Punjab on 19th February, 2017. The theme of the event was “Shyammayi Meera – Mera Dard Na Jaane Koi”. Hundreds of devotees attended the event. The inspiring lyrics of devotional songs touched the innermost core of hearts and devotees were truly mesmerized.
Meerabai Ji is widely known and much valued figure in the Indian Bhakti movement culture. Her place in the religious history is unique as she had danced and sang her way into the hearts of millions of her admirers. Her immense devotion for Lord Krishna is an example for all the devotees. Meerabai Ji became a very significant person in the history and culture of India not only due to her poetry but also due to the strength of her spirit and the freedom she embodied.
The orator of the event was Sadhvi Garima Bharti Ji (Disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji). She beautifully described Meerabai Ji’s devotional life and its innate meaning. The supporting bhajans accentuated the beauty of the concert. Sadhvi Ji explained that Meerabai Ji belonged to the Rathore clan in Marwar and married into the Sisodia family of Chitaur, Mewar. The Sisodias were very proud of their lineage and did not tolerate any deviation from etiquette which they considered to be correct. And it was this etiquette that Mira flouted from the beginning. Most legends about Meera mention her fearless disregard for social and family conventions and her devotion to Lord Krishna. She was also persecuted by her in-laws for her religious devotion. She used to sing bhajans very often while being alone and while doing it, she used to enter in the state of ecstasy and trance. Her family members also tried to restrict her life after her husband’s death, making her commit sati, but she completely denied it. She refused to succumb to social evils prevailing during that time and overcame all the difficulties with resolute.
Meerabai Ji was initiated in Bhakti (Brahm Gyan) by ‘Ravidas Ji - the divine grace of Perfect Spiritual Master of that time’. Brahm Gyan is the eternal science of Self Realisation. It is the immediate and direct perception of the Inner Self (Soul/Atman - Particle of Parmatman) at the very moment of initiation. In spiritual parlance, it is the process of seeing and realising the True Self (Atman) within the human body through the subtle faculty of Third Eye (Divine Eye). It is the experience of these noble truths that has been eulogised as Brahm Gyan (Divine Knowledge) in our scriptures. With the divine grace of Ravidas Ji, Meerabai Ji strongly fought with all the evils that came across her way and spread the message of bhakti to common people. Today, this epoch is fortunate to have revered perfect spiritual master - Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji who has not just mastered this rare science of Brahm Gyan but has also revealed it. He is making it available to the masses so that mankind can be benefitted. The master is using this technique of self-awakening through divine knowledge as a unique tool to realize the vision of global peace. The spiritual saga undertaken by Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is greatest of the great for its strength, depth and vision.
