Lord Parshuram is considered to be the incarnation of Lord Hari Vishnu. Parshuram Jayanti is celebrated on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. He came to be known as Parshuram because of the mystical weapon called Parshu which was given to him by Lord Shiva. DJJS was invited on the eve of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti organised by Shri Bhrahman Sabha at Gurdaspur, Punjab on 2nd June, 2019.

Disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Sadhvi Saumya Bharti Ji at the event quoted that Shri Parshuram was a great warrior and possessed immense knowledge. He always helped the ones in need and was just in every decision he took. He then conducted the Ashvamedha sacrifice, done only by sovereign Kings and gave the entire land He owned to priests who performed the sacrifice. He has been a Guru to Bhishma, Dronacharya and later also to Karna. He taught Karna the extremely powerful Brahmastra (a celestial weapon) but he also cursed that the knowledge would be useless to Karna, predicting much in advance that Karna will join the unrighteous Duryodhana in the Kurukshetra war. Such was His love for Righteousness.

Further, explaining about the greatness of a spiritual mentor, the orator stated that there is nothing with which he can recompense his Guru's debt! Indeed, the one who shows God within can be none other than God Himself, manifested in human garb on this mortal plane. There is no higher truth than the Guru, no higher penance than (service to) the Guru, and there is nothing higher than realization of the Knowledge of the truth imparted by the Guru.

Certainly, the one who is fortunate to enrich his life with the invaluable jewel of the Supreme Lord, his heart will offer countless salutations in the lotus feet of his Master. Because he knows that what his Guru has blessed him cannot be repaid with any materialistic possessions.
