Among those present were Sh. Sher Singh Gobaya (MP, Ferozepur), Sh. Manish Kumar (Director, Horticulture, Punjab), Dr. Harmel Singh (Joint Director), Dr. Dalbir Singh (Deputy Director), Dr. Amit Nath (Head, ICAR-CIPHET, Abohar), Sh. Balwinder Singh Tikka (Punjab's 'Kinnow King'), Dr. A.S. Poonia (Retd. Officer, India-Israel Project), Sh. Satish Asija (BJP President, Muktsar district), and other officials. The event commenced with a warm welcome note by Swami Gyaneshanand Ji, Disciple of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and coordinator DMK.

The Mela served as a dynamic platform where experts guided farmers on organic farming practices, from soil health and water conservation to crop diversification and desi seed revival. The event also touched upon the role of desi cow dung as a natural soil enricher, underlining the time-tested relationship between desi cow and farm health. Some attendees also showcased indigenous seed varieties, reflecting the growing interest among farming communities in turning back to traditional agricultural knowledge. Sh. Mastan Ji (Volunteer at Hitkari Kheti Farms), presented a working Hitkari Kheti farm model as a living proof of concept, reinforcing that chemical-free farming is both ecologically sound and economically rewarding. Running through the day was a clear message: that farmers breaking free from chemical inputs and hybrid seeds is not just good farming, but a step toward the nation standing on its own feet.

Rooted in the vision of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder, DJJS), DJJS has for years championed nature-based, sustainable agriculture through Hitkari Kheti, its initiative for the revival of agro-ecosystems. DJJS reaffirmed its commitment to continuing this movement, encouraging more farming communities to transition toward holistic, self-sufficient, and dignified livelihoods.
