DJJS Manthan SVK, a holistic education program for the underprivileged, recently conducted its annual academic review at three centers of Bihar. The centers, located in Village Padampur, Village Parsauni, and Village Dhauj-Dharampur, underwent a thorough evaluation from January 31 to February 04, 2024 by the dedicated team of Manthan SVK volunteers from the Delhi Head Office. The review encompassed various aspects such as classroom functionality, syllabus assessment, teacher training, recruitment processes, interviews and various learning & activities for children.
The Head Office team, led by Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Program Coordinator of DJJS Manthan SVK, along with the administrative team of Head Office and Bihar State, played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of this comprehensive review and engagement initiative.
During the visit, Manthan SVK team engaged with students in a myriad of activities, including outdoor and indoor games, awareness rallies on education, fancy dress competitions, poem recitations, yoga, meditation sessions, and more. Additionally, dental and general health checkup camps were organized to address oral health and overall well-being. Students diagnosed with tooth decay and nutritional deficiencies received appropriate medications and dental treatments.
As part of their commitment to supporting the educational journey of these students, Manthan SVK distributed school uniforms, notebooks, stationery items, water bottles, and game kits containing Badminton, Football, Chess, Ludo, and Skipping ropes across all three centers.
In a profound culmination of this annual academic review, the impact extended beyond the classroom walls, benefitting not only the students but the entire community. The interactions with women and youth members of the village provided a platform for counseling and awareness about the paramount importance of education. By fostering a holistic approach, this review transcended the traditional boundaries of educational evaluation, leaving an indelible imprint on the community's well-being. The distribution of essentials, health checkup camps, and engaging activities added layers of support to the educational journey, fostering a transformative ripple that echoes the essence of holistic education in the broader community context.
