So well said, the trees are our lungs, the rivers circulation, the air our breath and the Earth our body. The goodness of our planet cannot be described in words. But we as humans don’t deserve such an invaluable gift as we are continuously misusing its sacred & precious pleasures. To teach the importance of our beloved and most treasured planet Earth to the next generation, Earth day was celebrated on 6th May 2019 at Patel Nagar center of Manthan SVK to generate awareness and responsibility in the children and understand the vulnerability of the present Earth situations. Manthan-SVK, an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is not only working for the education of underprivileged children but also for their holistic and overall development.
Children presented a well organized skit in the lieu of Earth day celebration. There were also the dance performances by the students to try and aware the audience of the grave danger we are living in due to our carelessness. Children also planted saplings and spread the message in the nearby areas. Children pledged to take care of the environment and also motivated the community to do the same. The event was successful in creating awareness amongst the children and the community at large.
