In the times of coronavirus pandemic, Vaccines are one of the most effective preventive tools to stop the spread of COVID-19, apart from other tools, like wearing a mask, frequent hand wash, maintaining social distance. Vaccines work with our body’s natural defenses so our body will be ready to fight the virus.
Divya Jyoti Jagarati Sansthan, under its holistic health program ‘Aarogya’ contributes its stake to stop the spread of coronavirus by organizing a one-day free ‘Covid-19 Vaccination Camp’ for the people above 45 years of age on 12th of June 2021 at its Manawala Ashram, Amritsar in Punjab.
With an aim to make vaccination easily accessible to those in need, this camp was organized with the support of Cabinet Minister Sh. Om Prakash Soni and District Administration, Amritsar. Nearly 300 People above 45 years of age were inoculated at the camp free of cost.
One week prior to camp, door to door publicity about the camp was done in the nearby communities by DJJS volunteers. Proper arrangements and norms required for the vaccination camp were taken care of by DJJS Preachers and Volunteers.
