Manthan – Sampoorna Vikas Kendra organized the scheduled quarterly health check-up at its two Sampoorna Vikas Kendras; one on 26th of December, 2016 at village Sekhewal, Ludhiana, Punjab and another on 6th of January, 2017 in rural urban colony of Vikaspuri, Delhi.

Health Camps @ Manthan SVKs: Sekhewal, Punjab & Vikaspuri, Delhi

In the three hours of free medical check-up camp, about 75 students of Sekhewal village were examined. Dr. Shashi did basic physical examination for all the students, which was then followed by a short discussion by the doctor about various common infections – fever, anemia, and skin infections and were made aware on taking basic preventive measures. He very significantly focused upon regular physical activity and imbibing good eating habits.

Sadhvi Veeresha Bharti, Preacher DJJS, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, addressed the students on maintaining general and personal health & hygiene in their house and surroundings as well. She emphasized on the side-effects of junk food and the importance of having a balanced healthy diet. SAM pharmacy products counter was also put up for the benefit of the parents and students displaying supreme quality herbal and Ayurvedic medicinal health products of daily use.

Health Camps @ Manthan SVKs: Sekhewal, Punjab & Vikaspuri, Delhi

At Vikaspuri–SVK, Dr. Anchita Mahajan examined 26 students for complete dental health in the dental camp organized on 6th Jan 2017. During her visit she addressed students on oral health and hygiene. She also prescribed immediate treatment measures and medicines for 2-3 students with major oral damage.

Parents were also counseled to take care of the health of their wards and the importance of curative prevention. Dr. Anchita also distributed toothpaste and toothbrush to the students and trained them over right brushing methods. Parents at both the centers gave a splendid feedback for Manthan's work and their efforts to improve health standards for the students. They also promised to follow the tips provided in the health camp.
