He who has health has hope and he who has hope has everything. Health should be everybody’s first priority. To ensure this, Manthan-SVK organizes various health camps around the year to safeguard a healthy body and mind for the children. Manthan-SVK, which is an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is working not only for the education of the underprivileged children of the society but also their overall development. Health camps were organized at the centers to ensure this development.

Health camps organized @ Manthan-SVKs to ensure good health of the students

On 7th December, free health check-up camp was organized at Shakurpur Manthan SVK centre. Dr. Kaushal Kishore, Chief Medical Officer, BSF Hospital Tigri, diagnosed the students. He gave the required suggestions to the guardians of these children so as to improve their health. He suggested a diet including banana to the students suffering from malnutrition. He also conducted a session on personal hygiene which was highly appreciated by both the students and the parents. At Patel Nagar centre, a dental camp was organized by Dr. Madhu Ghai, BDS, Dr. Manisha, BDS, Dr. Amogh Tanwar, MDS (Pedodontics) and Dr. Ashok Chabra, MDS for 91 students. The doctors checked the oral health of the students and suggested the ways to brush their teeth to maintain the oral hygiene. Toothpastes and toothbrushes were also distributed to the students. On 10th December, a health camp was organized by Bhuvnesh Kumar Dhingra Foundation for the students of Faridabad Manthan SVK centre. Mr. Lalit Naggar (Ex. MLA, Faridabad) was the Chief Guest of the event. Both Mr. Yogesh Dhingra and Mr. Lalit Naggar were given thank you cards by the students of Manthan-SVK. Dr. Gagan (Child Specialist, Vedanta Hospital), Dr. Salman Usmani (Child Specialist and CMO of Vedanta Hospital) were also present in the camp. Dental check-up was done by Dr. Sudha Rastogi college of Dental Science and Research. Dr Sakshi, Dr. Shilpa, Dr. Swati, Dr. Mandeep along with interns Mr. Saatvik, Mr. Sanket, Ms. Priya, Mr.Sherun, Ms. Sakshi, Mr. Vinod, Mr. Bhagat were also present. News coverage of the event was done by Indianews, Newsnation as well as Expressnews. Manthan SVK representative was also interviewed by the news channel during the event. All the camps were a huge success and were appreciated by the students as well as their parents.
