DJJS Representatives discussed the prominent spiritual topic of a true Guru’s divine love for the disciples. They explained that a Guru gives new birth to a seeker, much like a mortal mother. However, the Guru cuts the illusion of this world and bestows upon the seeker the true inner divine light. The knowledge of the divine helps the seeker realign the self with the god. In this sense, the Guru is called the second mother in a few ancient Sanskrit sacred texts of India. Some of the texts even accord the Guru a stature higher than that of the mortal mother. The reason being it is only the Guru who can reveal the path following which the seeker doesn’t have to go through vicious cycle of birth and death. Another reason for this is that the Guru does not stop helping the seeker until he/she reaches the spiritual destination. Thus, a true Guru not only bestows the divine knowledge (Brahm Gyan) upon the seeker but also never abandons the disciple.

Finding a true Guru, said Sadhvi Ji, is never easy but more difficult than that is reciprocating the divine love of a Guru. The solution is the unflinching desire for the divine knowledge and faith in the Guru. However, in absence of devotion, it remains incomplete in practice. The result is, more often than not, a seeker’s spiritual derailment. This leads to the wastage of precious time. At such times, the Guru makes every possible effort to bring back the seeker to the spiritual path. But here it must be noted that without devotion to the divine grace of a Guru, it becomes difficult for the seeker to understand the ways of the Guru. Therefore, Sadhvi Ji urged the disciples to pray at the feet of Guru in every situation so that the divine spiritual connection between the two never breaks down; rather, it continues to grow by leaps and bounds. The event reinvigorated the disciples and they vowed to move on the path of spirituality in a steadfast manner.
