Worthy is the one who remembers to thank the Lord for all His blessings; but admirable is the one who still thanks God in spite of difficulties. Prayer isn’t just closing your eyes, folding your hands and speaking. True prayer is not mechanical recitation but the sincere cry of the apologetic heart. It gives us the strength and the faith to finish the race marked before us in this life.
To bring a fresh lease of joy & enthusiasm in the lives of devotees and to raise their spirit to a whole new level of positivity, DJJS organized an event of Monthly Spiritual Congregation at Nurmahal Ashram, Punjab on 14th April, 2019. Such programs not only aim to gather the devotees under one roof but also to make them realize how the Spiritual Revolution can be brought to the nation. Series of devotional songs sung with the sincere heart along with the absolute surrender to Lord, created the irresistible vibes of divinity and channelized the supreme energy within each heart, body, mind and soul. Along with divine music, the preacher disciples engaged the devotees with motivating spiritual discourse as well.
The learned preachers motivated people spiritually by enriching them with greater knowledge & understanding. Every action of the disciple should be oriented towards one's spiritual journey. However, sometimes circumstances around us may prohibit us and make it physically/ mentally difficult to perform these actions. In such cases, urged Sadhvi Ji, it is important to pray for good of everyone and the world at Guru's holy feet.
Here again, some feel prayer is like an ATM card; you use it when you need something or when you fall into horrendous situations. Before we approach God with our requests, we ought to become educated as to what to pray for. The real purpose of prayer is not to gain material resources or even spiritual salvation for oneself. Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji says “An ideal disciple always thanks his Master in every situation. He accepts the cloudy days with the same gratitude as the sunny ones.”
The people listened attentively trying to understand the meaning and the principles imbibed in those divine words. The profound words, full of spirituality definitely helped to arouse the disciples and stimulated each one towards the path of Bhakti. The congregation concluded with the group meditation and divine prayer for happy, healthy and spiritually enlightened life for one and all.
