Monthly Spiritual Congregation always acts like a downpour of soothing rain after a long parched spell. The hearts devoid of energy and zeal make themselves available every month to get soaked in the divinity of spiritual vibes. Again, one such congregation was organized by DJJS that invoked immense devotion among the people in Dabwali Malko Ki in Punjab on Aug. 4, 2019.

Monthly Spiritual Congregation Urged to Celebrate Life & Death at Dabwali Malko Ki, Punjab

Preacher disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji began the discourse with a question to audience- how can this life be celebrated in spite of the knowledge that death is inevitable? Is it wise for a being to not be prepared for death while fulfilling all duties of corporeal engagement?

Preacher disciples cited example of Yudhisthir’s response to Yaksha (the nature spirit) that every mortal being lives on this earth assuming that it will never encounter death. Lord Krishna in Bhagwat Gita pronounces that as a person removes one pair of clothes and puts on a new pair every morning after bath so does the soul relinquishes a body which is old and torn out and enters a new body upon death. A being should not lament upon death as it’s the law of nature rather one should celebrate it as it is the only point when soul meets its creator. Often in the world, it is observed that birth is celebrated while death is wailed upon. The wise ones who live with this knowledge of life have conquered death.

Continuing with the insightful discourse, Swami Ji narrated the story of Nacheketa who takes refuge of Yama and sought from him the mystery of life and death. Yama, then blessed the inquisitive Nacheketa with ‘Brahm Gyan’ through which he attained self-realization and freed himself from the bondage of birth and death. The story of Nacheketa inspires us to be firm in the path of divine knowledge as this path alone lead us to liberation.

The soul stirring discourse was accompanied by several other instances and life anecdotes of great personalities. Another inspirational life story was that of Lord Buddha whose thought process took a spiritual turn when he saw a corpse because it was the first time it dawned on him that beautiful body today finally becomes ashes and returns to earth. The perfect master of current time, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji says, one must realize the soul in one’s life time for life is certain to end and no one knows when.

Devotees present at the congregation were spell bound during the discourse. There was a feeling of spiritual elevation among them as they knew of the path which establishes balance in life and makes death a celebration of life.
