Antarkranti organized a first of its kind program – a one day spiritual session at District Jail    Kurukshetra to celebrate Bhartiya Nav Varsh Vikram Samvat 2073 on 8th April.

The event conducted to mark the auspicious arrival of New Year was presided by Swami Subhodanand Ji, Swami Dheeranand Ji and, Swami Abhedanand Ji.

The session commenced with the traditional lighting of lamps and Ganesh Vandana, thereafter which the preachers enlightened the audience about the importance of Indian calendar and significance of Bhartiya Nav Varsh in our culture.

The Indian calendar being Lunisolar is much better organized and celebration of New Year at this time of year in a pure and serene way is not only as per our values and culture, but also in conjugation with nature and society- which starts a new chapter at this very times of year.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of 70 inmates. The words of preachers caught rapt attention of the audience. They inmates listened attentively trying to grasp the meaning, and the values imbibed within the words. The day culminated with prasad distribution to the prisoners.
