SAM organised a musical tribute dedicated to the soldiers of Indian defence forces at Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi named ‘Battle of Bands - Schools edition’. 7 school bands from Delhi NCR participated and students of 12 schools attended the event. The event saw powerful theme based performance by young budding musicians with Amity International School, Gurugram won the competition. Colonel V.N. Thapar (father of Kargil martyr Captain Vijayant Thapar) and K.G. Suresh (D.G., I.I.M.C.) inspired the young students with their motivational speeches. An exclusive guest performance by Eternal Bliss Fusion Band enthralled the young audience. An oath taking ceremony was also held by the volunteers of Team SAM. The event received a wide media coverage with News World India and 104 fever FM being the official media partners.
