To disseminate the timeless teachings of the ‘Ramayana’, ‘Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’ (DJJS) organized Shri Ram Katha from 4th - 10th October 2024 at Bathinda, Punjab under the profound grace and blessings of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder & Head, DJJS). The purpose of this katha was to revive the ancient knowledge and wisdom of Sanatan Dharma while connecting it to contemporary societal issues, offering a path toward inner transformation and collective harmony. The Katha was a week-long series of discourses, soulful euphonious music, and spiritual guidance. Through the lens of Shri Ram's life, DJJS representative, Sadhvi Shreya Bharti Ji brought forth the lessons on how to lead a balanced and spiritually attuned life amidst worldly challenges.
The katha commenced with the grand invocation of Lord Rama through prayers and an introduction to his life and philosophy. Sadhvi Ji spoke about Lord Rama as the epitome of dharma and compassion, explaining how his life serves as a blueprint for humanity to live in harmony with themselves and others. Shri Ram, in his role as the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, exemplifies the connection between the individual soul (Jiva) and the universal soul (Paramatma). Shri Ram is often called ‘Maryada Purushottam’, the ideal man who upholds Dharma in all aspects of life. His life is a testament to how one should always prioritize duty over personal desires, making decisions that benefit the greater good, even at the expense of personal hardships.
Sadhvi Ji explicated that Shri Ram’s philosophy, rooted in ‘Brahm Gyan’, provides a path for individuals to realize their true, divine nature and achieve spiritual enlightenment. His life is a living example of how self-realization leads to a life of compassion, duty, and peace, inspiring seekers to transcend the limitations of the ego and align with the ultimate truth. Lord Rama’s battle against Ravana symbolized the eternal battle between good and evil. His return to Ayodhya signifies the victory of righteousness and the restoration of dharma. Similarly, through ‘Divine Knowledge’, one can embark on the journey of self-discovery and ultimately attain spiritual liberation.
Sadhvi Ji concluded that in today’s times, Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji has been transforming the lives of millions by initiating them into ‘Brahm Gyan’, thereby helping them connect with their true self and experience the oneness of all beings. His Holiness has made spirituality accessible to people from all walks of life, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or nationality.
The Shri Ram Katha received extensive media coverage, with local newspapers and social media platforms reporting on the event. The katha successfully bridged the gap between ancient wisdom and contemporary life, inspiring devotees to realize the importance of inner transformation and spiritual awakening in achieving personal peace and contributing to societal harmony.
