Shrimad Bhagwat Katha disseminated gems of spirituality at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh

The orator of the Katha, Sadhvi Aastha Bharti Ji (Preacher Disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji) beautifully narrated the entire Katha and unravelled the deep hidden meaning in the Katha-Amrit for the devotees. She stated that Lord Krishna incarnated on Planet Earth with the purpose to teach people the art of living and to disseminate the gems of spirituality. Each of his leelas has profound hidden meaning. This katha teaches us how to fulfil the purpose of life and how to never stop smiling, even in the midst of the most difficult times of life. Lord Krishna taught Arjuna the sacred wisdom of Holy Geeta on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, which also served as the greatest gift to the entire mankind and is benefitting them even today. Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is an essential guide to better living and spiritual awakening. Its greatest quality is that it prompts an individual to think, to make a fair and right decision, and to look at life differently and refreshingly without surrendering one’s identity.

The Preacher further stated that one can be positive in life only when one is connected to a higher energy, which is “GOD”. As per all the scriptures, only a Perfect Spiritual Mentor (Guru) of the time can help a devotee to reach the Lord by bestowing upon the rare science of Brahm Gyan. Not only this, a Guru helps his disciple all through his spiritual journey and guides him on every step. Therefore, all must take refuge in such a Guru, who connects one to divinity and can show God within an individual. Further elaborating, the orator explained that neither Shri Krishna attired himself like a saint, nor did he leave his family to go to forests or Himalayas for higher meditation and yet he is referred to as Jagat-Guru. The outer appearance, the beautiful way one pronounces shlokas from scriptures, the magic tricks are not the symbolisms of one to be a true Guru. Rather, his only true identity is “Brahm Gyan” through which he can show the Divine Light within a devotee and thus initiate his spiritual journey. Therefore, while finding a True Spiritual Mentor, it is imperative that the seeker of God, must take the reference from scriptures, like Swami Vivekananda did and does not get bogged down in falsehood and hypocrisy while searching for a True Spiritual Mentor, like Swami Vivekananda finally found his Guru Swami Ramakrishna Parmahamsa, after testing many Saints.
