"I ask not for wealth; I ask not for position; I ask not for salvation; place me in a hundred hells if it to be Thy wish, but let me continue to regard Thee as my love."- One of Meerabai’s prayers which is significant in showing the manner in which her heart was moved for the love of God. Meerabai Ji is famously known as an ardent devotee of Shri Krishna who used to sing and write poems about the Lord. However, lesser known is the fact that she played a significant role in the culture building of India due to her contributions in fighting societal evils towards women as ritual of “Sati”. She went on from becoming a lost lover of Lord to an awakened devotee selflessly working towards the upliftment of women and needy.
So, what was that strength that Meerabai exhibited. To unveil this mystery of the life of Meerabai, which is hidden somewhere in the history and not known widely, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under the divine guidance of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Head & Founder – DJJS), presented a play on the life of Meerabai at Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj on 15th Feb 2019. The play was enacted by various dedicated selfless volunteer disciples of His Holiness. The orator of the program was learned Sadhvi Shailasa Bharti Ji. The play flawlessly fused in various musical symphonies which kept audience engrossed and splurged emotions.
Meerabai is mostly mentioned for her fearless disregard social and family conventions and her devotion to Lord Krishna. Her religious fervor did not sit well with her in-laws, and when she refused to commit sati, multiple attempts were made on her life. But, her devotional journey got the right direction only when she took refuge of Perfect Master of time – Saint Ravidas Ji, who initiated her into the eternal science of Self Realization (Brahm Gyan). While earlier with limited knowledge, her devotion was more towards one such manifested form of lord but through the subtle faculty of Third Eye (Divine Eye) she realized the omniscient, formless, omnipotent Lord within herself. By following this path of righteousness as per the commands of her master Saint Ravidas Ji, she became a real embodiment of freedom and Shakti. She worked against the suppression based on caste system, against the subjugation of women in society and other evils. She went among the poor and the needy and taught the doctrine of the extreme love for God.
Sadhvi Ji explained in today’s context His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is such Perfect Master, who possesses the key to the locked self-worth of women. He is awakening millions of women through the Eternal Science of Self Realization– Brahm Gyan. H. H. Ashutosh Maharaj Ji - the founder and head of DJJS is astoundingly providing the awareness and wisdom for righteous living and sustainable development to women, who are now tirelessly and selflessly working towards the grand mission of World Peace. Indeed, the world will soon witness a remarkable phase-shift, where, as dynamos of epoch change, women will rewrite their own future and become scriptwriters of new age.
