The Relevance of Patience Exemplified in Shri Ram Katha, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand

Sadhvi Shreya Bharti Ji, through the narration of Shri Ram Katha elaborated the benefits of the virtue of patience. Sadhvi Ji said that in today’s time we can see a lack of patience in people. Everyone is in haste to get to some place. The life has been made so busy that the beauty of patience is overlooked in the process. In this scenario, Shri Ram Katha poses many advantages. The analysis of the personages such as Lord Hanuman, and devotee Shabri holds much relevance. These personages are a true example of how adherence to patience can help in dealing with an adverse situation.

For instance, explained Sadhvi Ji, it was only because of patience that both Lord Hanuman and devotee Shabri were able to await the arrival of Lord Ram for so long. However, asserted Sadhvi Ji, it is important to understand the source of patience in these personages. Both personages, said Sadhvi Ji, were enlightened beings. Lord Hanuman was enlightened by Sun. On the other hand, Shabri attained the eternal knowledge from Sage Matang. The divine knowledge that both of them gained is called as Brahm Gyan. It is a knowledge which can only be obtained from a true spiritual teacher (Guru). Hence, in order to attain enlightenment, one must first seek a true Guru.

Sadhvi Ji concluded the Katha by stating that with the attainment of Brahm Gyan, the spiritual seeker will get to unlock the unending inner reservoir of peace, and thereby will be able to handle discomforting situations with patience as well as tranquility. She further said that every individual irrespective of his/her social background retains the possibility of being an enlightened human. But to actualize the possibility, one must start the spiritual journey. In this regard, DJJS will always remain open for a sincere spiritual seeker.
