Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under the divine blessings of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder & Head, DJJS), organized a grand seven-day program of Shri Ram Katha at Chandigarh, UT from 23rd to 29th Nov 2025. Thousands of devotees participated in the event and drew deep inspiration from the divine saga of Shri Ram. The atmosphere at the venue was elevated with soulful bhajans and divine music, creating the ideal environment for the devotees to immerse themselves in the profound teachings of the Katha.
Sadhvi Shreya Bharti Ji (Preacher Disciple of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji), beautifully narrated the Katha, emphasizing its timeless relevance in modern times. She shared that Shri Ram is not only an ideal son, brother, husband, father, warrior, and king, but also a living embodiment of dignity and righteousness. Despite being the prince of Ayodhya, Shri Ram remained unaffected by the comforts and distractions of royal life. He embraced simplicity and detachment, willingly accepting exile along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman. The hardships of life in the forest neither deter Shri Ram from his vow to honour his father’s command nor from his determination to uphold Dharma by vanquishing the demons who threatened righteousness. Under his leadership, the Vanar Sena (warriors) were empowered, and together they achieved victory, culminating in the defeat of the demon king, Ravana. Shri Ram's life is a profound lesson of self-sacrifice, demonstrating that he was always willing to give up his comforts and desires for the greater good, not just for his kingdom, but for the peace and welfare of the world at large.
The teachings of Shri Ram are as relevant today as ever. He is a beacon of inspiration for people from all walks of life. What stands out in his life is the core principle of Dharma- a value that steered all his actions. According to our sacred scriptures and the teachings of the great saints, dharma is the spiritual journey of discovering the divine presence within us.
