A delightful, melodious and immensely moving devotional and soulful concert was organised in Amritsar, Punjab on 5th July, 2015 from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Music is the hidden language of the soul. A devotional concert provides nourishment to body, mind and spirit. Devotional songs are known to calm the mind and attain peace within. Man today is surrounded by sounds that denote violence, hatred, cruelty, and wickedness. These negative vibrations are making life more stressful and the atmosphere more polluted than ever. The vibrations resulting from singing the glory of God can cleanse the atmosphere and render it pure, calm, and divine. It was with this high purpose in view that the program of Global Sankirtan was designed.
The divine concert was graced by many elites, and the chief guests of the evening were: - Mr Bakshi Ram Arora (Mayor –Amritsar), Mr Pawan Bharadwaj (Ex MLA –Bias), Mrs Rama Mahajan (Councilor), Mrs Sarabjeet Kaur (BJP Punjab), and Mr Ajay Sehgal (CO- Amritsar Cant). Hundreds of devotees engulfed themselves in the transcendent melodies of the almighty. Sadhvi Sumedha Bharti Ji, addressing the youth of our country said, “No country can ever achieve social or economic prosperity unless and until her youth is master of a strong character. And in a young nation like India, it’s the need of the hour to awaken its youth and to build strong, fervent and zealous individuals.”
Towards the end of the program, Sadhvi Ji gave details about various Social welfare programs, like Manthan, Santulan, Sanrakshan, Bodh, Aarogya, Antardrishti and Antarkranti, undertaken by the organization, under the guidance of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.
She spoke in depth about, Antarkranti- the Prisoner’s Reformation and Rehabilitation Program, which is doing a tremendous job by transforming the lives of thousands of prisoners in prisons all across India, including Asia’s largest prison- the Tihar Jail. Antarkranti has revolutionized the thinking and perceptions of many heinous criminals, and transformed them completely.
