“To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” - Gautam Buddha
Good health is primary to happiness and contributes majorly to prosperity, wealth and economic progress as well. Manthan SVK is an educational initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan which provides value education to underprivileged children of urban slums and remote villages. It strives to build holistically developed personalities and health education is a central part of this journey.
Every year, April 7 is observed as World Health Day. Manthan SVK celebrates the day each year. This time, Manthan observed the day through a virtual session on April 10, 2021. It was themed “Let's Yogafy this World Health Day”. Ms. Babli Soni conducted a yoga session for students as well as volunteers. She opened the session with Shanti Mantra chanting and spoke briefly about the history of Yoga, Ashtang Yoga and its significance. Babli Ji also taught some asanas like Chakrasana, Vakrasana, Sarwangasan etc. These are beneficial for various key organs in the body. The Asanas were followed by a short Pranayam session. She further added that only exercise or performing yogic asanas would not reap full benefits, it needs to be accompanied by a balanced diet and good sleep patterns also.
All the students and volunteers thoroughly enjoyed the session and extended appreciation for the same. In the end, Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, daughter disciple of HH Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji addressed the gathering.
