Under its ‘Aarogya’ the holistic health program, Divya jyoti jagrati Sansthan is running more than 20 Ayurveda treatment centers in Punjab and Haryana.  And one such ‘SAM Ayurvedic Treatment Centre’ at Moga Ashram in Punjab organized a mega Ayurvedic Health Camp - “निशुल्क आयुर्वेदिक स्वास्थ्य चिकित्सा शिविर” on 18th December 2016 to promote Ayurveda and sensitize masses on the effectiveness of Ayurveda as a natural course of complete health & well-being.

The program started with lamp lightening by eminent guests Sh. Chaman Lal Goyal(President of Gopal Gaushala), Sh. S.K. Bansal(State Coordinator, NGO), Sh. Vijay Singla(President, Loins Club), Sh. Prem Chand (Member of Municipal Corporation) and Swami Gurusharnanand ji; which followed by a cultural program of dance and nukkad natak. On this occasion, Dr. Parminder Moudgil elucidated that “Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, for a long period remained a lesser popular stream of medication, however with changing lifestyles as well as climatic conditions, even modern medical science and WHO has acknowledged the ability of Ayurveda to deal with modern day health problems without producing any side effects. Basic raw materials used in the formulation of Ayurvedic medicines are mainly of plant origin hence consumption of Ayurvedic medicine does not produce any major adverse effect on body beside the use of allopathic medicines may cause harmful effect on kidney, liver, intestines, along with some allergic effect to skin”. Also Sadhvi Rupeshwari Bharti elaborated the importance of Ayurveda and natural products for the wellness of human beings.

A large number of health seekers from all walks of life and age visited the camp. Dr. Parminder Moudgil, Dr. S. P. Tiwari, Dr. Jai Prakash and Dr. Shalokya bharti, eminent Ayurveda experts provided their consultancy and diagnosis to all registered patients at the camp. More than 183 people (78 men, 105 women & 18 children) participated and reaped benefits in the form of diagnosis, consultation and ayurvedic medicines. Special arrangements have been made in the camp for Blood sugar test and BP check-up. Researched Ayurvedic medicines manufactured by SAM Ayurveda Pharmacy were also provided to patients at concessional price. A stall displaying Ayurvedic OTC products were also placed at the camp for the ease of the patients.

While addressing the press reporters, Swami Gurusharnanand ji informed that Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ayurvedic Pharmacy’ – an ayurvedic research center was established in 2008 at Nurmahal Ashram in Punjab which undertook a rigorous research and development exercise by combining medicinal herbs, plants and  animal extracts such as cow’s urine, dung, ghee, milk etc. with classic techniques of grinding, mixing and burning as prescribed in traditional Ayurveda to manufacture ayurvedic medicines and products. And with time Pharmacy’s popularity has been increased amongst masses resulting in 20 Ayurveda Treatment centres running successfully in Punjab and Haryana.

About 1100 people participated and were benefitted with this event as told by Swami Neerjanand ji, under whose able guidance program was organized. The health camp was a huge success with overwhelming response from the local people showed keen interest in knowing about Ayurveda and ayurvedic medicines and products displayed.
