It stated that people who take soup are likely to weigh less than those who don't. Their findings were based on the survey done by the National Health and Nutrition Examination on 20,000 people. The intake of soups satiates our hunger by acting as a low calorie-high nutrient diet. Another research says that soups taken as an appetizer can result in 20% decrease in calorie consumption from the meal taken after soup. Pennsylvania State University researched the effect of soup intake on children. They also come up with the similar findings which said that fewer calories are consumed when we include soups in our diet chart.
