Revolution through Resolution

…Every year, a plethora of New Year Resolutions (NYRs) are taken by people all round the globe. As per the University of Scranton, Journal of Clinical Psychology, nearly 47% of NYRs belong to the category of “self-improvement” or “education”. Besides this, substantially 38% are “weight-related”; 34% can be categorised as “money-related” and 31% resolutions are pertaining to the “relationships.”

However… the majority give up their resolutions very early…

From a comprehensive perspective, it has been found that the collective failure rate with respect to NYRs is as high as 88%! After all, change is not easily accepted. The makeup of our persona is such that every fibre of our being happens to resist and reject the change. However, it is also rightly said by someone that– “Your life doesn’t get better by chance, it gets better by change.” Therefore, taking resolutions to change for the better is always welcomed.

So, what should be done to change the pattern of this graph, i.e. to overcome the failures with respect to NYRs and achieve success?
