Addiction is not just a personal struggle — it is a social crisis silently eating away at the health, relationships, productivity, and future of countless individuals. The battleground is not confined to rehabilitation centers; it exists in streets, colonies, slums, and marketplaces where addictive substances are easily accessible and vulnerable populations are most exposed.

For people to break free from this cycle, awareness must reach them where they live, work, and interact. Only then can the message truly take root. Recognizing this urgent need, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) – Bodh, in collaboration with Yuva Pariwar Sewa Samiti (YPSS), launched the Sankalp Campaign.
The Sankalp Campaign envisions a Drug-Free Bharat by empowering individuals with knowledge, emotional resilience, and spiritual clarity. This movement addresses not just the physical harm caused by addiction but also the mental, emotional, and social damage it inflicts. Through innovative outreach methods, the campaign inspires communities to take a firm stand against substance abuse.

Between April and August 2025, the campaign swept across India, creating a powerful wave of community awareness programs. Over 24 impactful events were conducted, directly engaging 14,555 individuals — including youth, parents, daily-wage workers, and street vendors — encouraging them to deeply reflect on the consequences of addiction and commit to change.
Each event was designed to be informative, interactive, and transformative, featuring:
- Nukkad Nataks (Street Plays) depicting the harsh realities of substance abuse
- Motivational Discourses by DJJS preachers igniting moral conviction and inner strength
- Interactive Games & Quizzes to make the message engaging and memorable
- Group Discussions fostering dialogue and shared solutions
- Yoga & Pranayama Demonstrations promoting mental balance and physical health
