Recently, DJJS Aarogya participated in a significant government initiative launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, known as the “Desh ka Prakriti Parikshan” program. This initiative, part of the Ministry of AYUSH, aims to make Ayurveda accessible to everyone by educating individuals about their unique prakriti. In Ayurveda, Prakriti refers to the unique constitutional characteristics derived from the three doshas: Pitta, Kapha, and Vata. These doshas play a crucial role in determining an individual's personality and health, with each person typically having a dominant dosha that influences their physical and mental well-being.

On December 22, 2024, a Prakriti Parikshan camp was held at Divya Dham in New Delhi, organized by DJJS Aarogya in collaboration with the All-India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Delhi. The camp attracted a diverse group of participants, ranging from young individuals to the elderly, with 1,146 patients registering to learn about their prakriti. DJJS volunteers actively encouraged attendees to participate in this free Ayurveda camp, where they could receive evaluations from specialized doctors.
The camp featured 50 expert physicians dedicated to providing their services. These specialists conducted thorough assessments by asking patients a series of questions to identify their health issues and recommend treatment plans. Each patient received free diagnoses along with personalized dietary and lifestyle advice to maximize health benefits. Based on traditional Ayurvedic principles, the Prakriti Parikshan initiative also included a comprehensive survey-based mobile application designed to help users determine their prakriti. Patients were provided with the app, which allowed them to access their treatment plans and stay informed about future notifications related to Prakriti Parikshan. Through the app, patients completed a guided survey facilitated by trained volunteers, resulting in a customized digital Prakriti Certificate for each individual.

The camp was coordinated and supervised by Dr. Meera K. Bhojani, an additional professor in the Kriya Sharir Department, with assistance from Dr. Neelayathatchi and Dr. Shifa Shetty, both Assistant Professors in the Department of Dravya Guna. Participants expressed their appreciation for the initiative, with one stating, "This camp has opened my eyes to the importance of understanding my body’s constitution. I feel empowered to make better health choices." Dr. Shifa Shetty also remarked, "The organization and enthusiasm here are remarkable. It’s inspiring to see so many people eager to learn about Ayurveda."
Senior doctors involved in the camp praised the ambiance of Divya Dham and commended DJJS for the scale and organization of the event. They appreciated the high turnout and looked forward to future collaborations with DJJS Aarogya. Additionally, a spiritual talk was organized for the medical team by a DJJS preacher, and the doctors visited Kamdhenu Gaushala, a facility maintained by DJJS to preserve indigenous cow breeds, expressing joy at spending time in such a tranquil environment.
The Prakriti Parikshan initiative marks a significant step towards promoting holistic health through Ayurveda. DJJS encourages everyone to explore their prakriti and embrace the wisdom of Ayurveda for a healthier life.
