With an objective to enlighten devotees about Lord Shiva's divine attributes and to help them connect with the deeper spiritual truths that transcend religious practices, ‘Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’ organized ‘Bhagwan Shiv Katha’ from 9th to 15th February 2025 at ‘Mahakumbh’, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Under the divine superintendence of ‘Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji’, the seven-day transcendental saga sought to convey the sacred gems of Lord Shiva’s philosophy and to help seekers understand the science of spiritual awakening. The Katha attracted a diverse and large congregation of spiritual seekers, devotees, and pilgrims from across the globe, showing the widespread devotion to Lord Shiva and the thirst for spiritual knowledge.

DJJS representative, Dr. Sarveshwar Ji, unravelled the cosmic insights of Lord Shiva’s theology and offered renewed sense of spiritual awareness among the devotees. Dr. Sarveshwar Ji highlighted that Lord Shiva is known as the destroyer in the Holy Trinity (Trimurti) along with Brahma (the creator) and Vishnu (the preserver). However, Shiva’s role as a destroyer is not negative; rather, it signifies transformation, regeneration, and the removal of ignorance, clearing the path for creation and spiritual growth. This concept resonates with the cycle of life itself, where death and destruction are essential for renewal and progress.

DJJS representative further explained that the third eye of Shiva is symbolic of ‘Inner Awakening’ which represents the spiritual insight that transcends physical vision, the ability to perceive higher truths beyond the material world, and the destruction of illusion or ignorance. In this way, Shiva represents the wisdom that brings liberation (moksha) by helping individuals overcome the constraints of their limited perspectives. His third eye also signifies the power of meditation, introspection, and consciousness.

Dr. Sarveshwar Ji elucidated that Divine Knowledge is not merely theoretical but a transformative experience that leads to profound inner peace, self-control, and spiritual enlightenment. He cited the example of Lord Shiva, who, through his own self-realization, attained the highest form of ‘Brahm Gyan’. In line with the DJJS philosophy, Dr. Sarveshwar Ji highlighted that knowledge of ‘Brahm Gyan’ received from a qualified spiritual guide paves way for personal transformation. Through its practice, individuals can detach themselves from worldly desires and attachments. Through deep meditation and following the practices Shiva personifies, a devotee too can achieve higher states of consciousness, ultimately leading to union with the Divine.

In continuation of the ongoing efforts of DJJS, its representative concluded by extending an invitation to seek Divine Knowledge to the seekers promising a path of eternal peace, wisdom and divine connection for those who wish to explore it. The event also received widespread media coverage, with numerous news outlets highlighting the immense spiritual significance of the Katha to both traditional devotees and modern spiritual seekers. The successful conduct of the Katha was proof of the profound spiritual gathering and also of an event that resonated deeply with all those in attendance. With a diverse group of devotees, spiritual seekers, families, and international guests, the event offered an enriching experience centred around the divine wisdom of Lord Shiva.
