To propagate Lord Shiva’s eternal philosophy for living an ideal life, the Sambalpur branch of ‘Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’ organized ‘Bhagwan Shiv Katha’ at Titilagarh, Odisha from 25th - 31st December 2025. The Katha aimed to guide individuals from ritualistic devotion to experiential spirituality. Devotees gathered in large number to listen to the gems of Lord Shiva’s theology throughout the seven-days of the katha.The event saw active participation from community leaders, local dignitaries, educators, and spiritual enthusiasts.

The Katha was enriched by Vedic mantra chanting and devotional bhajans along with insightful discourse by the Katha orator and disciple of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder & Head, DJJS), Dr. Sarveshwar Ji. Bhagwan Shiv Katha is especially dedicated to the Manthan initiative, the holistic education and societal upliftment program of DJJS that empowers underprivileged children with value-based learning and all-round development. The alignment of the Shiv Katha with the Manthan initiative emphasizes the interconnectedness of spiritual insights along with compassionate service, social transformation, and community upliftment.
During the discourse, Dr. Sarveshwar Ji offered a profound exposition of Lord Shiva’s philosophy, presenting him as the eternal embodiment of pure consciousness and transformative awareness. Through insightful narration of episodes from the Shiv Purana and Vedic scriptures, the discourse emphasized Shiv Tattva as a living principle that guides individuals toward inner awakening and balance. The katha orator elucidated the symbolism of Samudra Manthan as an inner churning process essential for dissolving ego and ignorance, highlighting Lord Shiva’s acceptance of poison as a metaphor for cultivating equanimity amidst life’s challenges.

DJJS representative further underscored the message of attaining enlightenment from the Perfect Master on the basis of Guru Gita as told by Lord Shiva, stressing the importance of meditation and experiential knowledge in attaining self-realization. By seamlessly linking ancient wisdom with contemporary life, the katha orator inspired participants to embody detachment, compassion, and ethical living.
Dr. Sarveshwar Ji concluded by reminding the seekers that self-realization is a continuous journey, attainable through sincere practice and the guidance of a realized Satguru. He called upon everyone to align spiritual growth with service to society, thereby embodying the living spirit of Shiv Tattva.
