Music is a great way to touch the chord of every heart irrespective of age, sex, religion and social status. It really doesn’t discriminate between people and cuts across the boundaries. When music is used as a tool to sing the glory of Lord, then it has the multiplier effect on the soul of human beings. Devotional singing originates from the heart and it is this expression of endless joy that soaks the individual from within. It is the spontaneous manifestation of inner ecstasy and hence bhajans or devotional songs are used to evoke Bhakti or devotion towards Divine.
One such thought provoking and introspective evening named ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ was organized by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan at Ludhiana, Punjab on 22nd July 2018. Insightful lyrics sung with pure devotion to the melodious tunes elicited spiritual values among the listeners. Feelings of devotion, surrender, gratitude and sincerity outpoured the gathering on the occasion. Sadhvi Garima Bharti Ji was the learned orator for the program, guiding everyone towards the world of divinity, Divine knowledge and Divine Guru with her discourse and blissful bhajans.
Sadhvi Ji explained that whenever a devotee seeks to attain the truth/ oneness, a perfect spiritual master bestows him with the Divine Knowledge or Brahm Gyan. His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the founder and head of DJJS, is perfect master of today’s time bestowing seekers with same knowledge and thereby soaking his/her heart with the divine music of Brahman. She further said, the most beautiful and purest relationship on this earth is that of “Guru and Shishya” (the perfect master and disciple). The devotees who tread this path; remaining under the incessant guidance of their Guru, can become the embodiment of true spiritual being and their lives become the living example of greatness, sacrifice, selfless service and surrender.
Devotional singing induced the desire of experiencing the truth among the attendees, to get a glimpse of the beauty that is God, to taste the bliss that is the Self. It encouraged people to dive into inner world and realize their real Self. Every song sung in praise of the Lord is a sword that cuts knots of laziness so that the disciples can tread on this path. The event was highly appreciated and touched the souls of listeners, thereby leaving the atmosphere serene and divine.
