On the sacred occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, Santulan, the gender equality and women empowerment initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under the divine guidance of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, conducted a magnificent event under its nine-day annual campaign “Bhar Hunkar Mahish Mardini Si”, on 27th Sep 2025, in AISF Banquet, Lajpat Nagar-4, New Delhi. The very theme, “Bhar Hunkar Mahish Mardini Si”, unveiled how the nine forms of Goddess Durga are not just divine archetypes, but living inspirations that can be manifested in every woman to transform into a 21st Century Vedic Woman.

The event opened with auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Swami Narendranand Ji, Hon’ble Secretary, DJJS, Manoj Kumar Ji, Asistant Director, DCPW, Piyush Kumar Singh Ji, Executive Engineer, Chhattisgarh PWD and R P Yadav Ji, Exceutive Engineer, CPWD. The major highlight of the event was the powerful fusion-rock music concert presented by highly qualified and enlightened Sadhaks and Sadhvis, the dedicated disciples of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Blending the essence of valor and devotion, the devotional songs of the Goddess not only enthralled the audience but also conveyed a resounding call for social change.
The concert was led by Sadhvi Deepika Bharti Ji, Global Head of Santulan, who strongly highlighted how real gender equality and empowerment remain a challenge in society. She pointed out that persistent safety concerns, societal stigma, and misuse of laws often breed scepticism. While many women today battle their own “Mahishasurs” in the form of self-doubt, insecurities, indecisiveness, and the pressures of responsibilities and aspirations. In such moments, the timeless lessons from the nine forms of Goddess Durga inspire women to awaken their latent Shakti, unleashing courage, resilience, dignity, compassion, and above all, spiritual awakening. Sadhvi Ji emphasized this awakening not only uplifts women personally but also empower them to rise as changemakers, contributing meaningfully to society and nation-building.

Swami Narendranand Ji, Hon’ble Secretary of DJJS felicitated distinguished achievers from diverse fields as the ‘Flagbearers of Women’s Safety in the National Capital’. Among those honored were Vijay Menghani Ji, Chief Engineer at the Central Electricity Authority; Jaya Tiwari Ji, Senior Manager, Implementation at Maitreyana Charity Foundation; Sonika Tanwar Ji, Retired Wing Commander and Founder of Digitruce.ai; and Payal Dhupar Ji, Advocate at the Supreme Court of India.
The participants were blissfully engaged with the fun activities conducted during the event. Their post program testimonies proved that DJJS Santulan’s Navratri event offered a renewed perspective, teaching them that change is not an isolated event but a chain process.
Swami Narendranand Ji in his vote of thanks speech, emphasized that every individual must embark on a personal spiritual journey, that begins with initiation into Brahmagyan at the lotus feet of a Puran Sadguru. Such inner awakening cultivates empathy and respect for all genders, enabling individuals to embody true Shakti by balancing strength with compassion, courage with wisdom and determination with humility.
Breaking away from conventional approaches that majorly focus only on external rights and resources, Santulan works at the root level, i.e. awakening women’s inner strength through spiritual empowerment. Consequently, in the last two decades, Santulan has reached millions of women across India through mass campaigns, sensitization workshops, and leadership programs. Today, over 6.5 lakh women and girls across villages and cities have been empowered to lead with confidence, dignity, and values. In doing so, Santulan not only uplifts individuals but also advances the larger vision of gender equality and inclusive development in alignment with global goals.
DJJS, through its multi-dimensional social reform programs, continues to work across domains such as education, drug abuse eradication, environment conservation, community health, disaster relief, and prisoner reformation, carrying forward its mission of establishing universal brotherhood and peace.
