These activities are an essential part of school life and it’s structured and balanced with the academic curriculum so that every student gets the opportunity to learn beyond studies. Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK) flourishes and thrives under the divine inspiration of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The objective of DJJS Manthan SVK is to work on the holistic development of children by improving their academic performance, enhancing social skills, providing opportunities for personal growth, developing leadership skills, fostering creativity, and building a sense of community and belonging. These benefits can have long-term effects on students’ personal and professional lives.

In the month of July 2023, DJJS Manthan SVK connected with more than 1172 students across the various DJJS branches in the country through both its online and offline workshops. The workshops that were conducted are as follows -

नींव-Nurturing Strong Future session on Social Skills was facilitated by Lt Colonel (retd) Nirupam Bhargava, Defence Communication, Indian Armed Forces. The students were guided on the competence of interacting through verbal and non-verbal communications. Actions used to effectively interact with others, apart from that effective written communication can also help students with their academic education. The distinct advantages of having well developed social skills such as better communication which helps maintain relationships socially.

Jeevan Kaushal Karyashala workshops were based on the topic Safe Touch facilitated by Sadhvi Aneesha Bharti Ji. Students were taught on how to identify safe and unsafe touches, identify private body parts and the touching rule. Children were made aware that it is their responsibility to ensure they refuse unwanted and unsafe touches by using assertive NO words. Informing their parents or trusted adults about the incidents. Armed with this knowledge, children will be better prepared to protect themselves if they’re ever in this scary situation.

Bharat Gaurav Gatha Aao Karein Bharat Ki Sair illustrated a virtual tour about the majestic state of Meghalaya, starting from its geographical area, reminiscent of the historic battles, cultural values inclusively like festivals, cuisine, folk music, dance forms, national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, heritage places, eminent heroes and state contributors were showcased to the students.

Bhartiya Sanskriti Ki Shreshthta a session on Indian Education System was conducted by Manthan SVK volunteers. Students learned that the Gurukul education system was the first education system of Bharat. The main focus of Gurukuls was on imparting learning to the students in a natural environment where the students lived with each other with brotherhood, humanity, love, and discipline. The essential teachings were in subjects like language, science, mathematics, literature, philosophy through group discussions, self-learning etc. Not only this, but the focus was also given on arts, sports, crafts, singing that developed their intelligence and critical thinking. Activities such as yoga, meditation, mantra chanting etc. generated positivity and peace of mind and made them fit. It was also mandatory to do daily chores by self with a motive to impart practical skills in them. All these helped in the personality development and increased their confidence, sense of discipline, intellect and mindfulness which is necessary even today to face the world.
