To disseminate the true spiritual essence of Shri Guru Purnima and to express deep reverence and gratitude to the Guru, whose divine guidance leads the disciple on the path of truth, inner transformation, and liberation, ‘Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’ organized a spiritually grand celebration of ‘Dev Durlabh Shri Guru Purnima Mahotsav’ on Sunday, 13th July 2025, at Divya Dham Ashram, Delhi. This auspicious day is a heartfelt offering of surrender and homage to the eternally awakened perfect master, ‘His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji’ (Founder & Head, DJJS), who has bestowed the divine gift of ‘Brahm Gyan’ to all humanity.

‘Shri Guru Purnima’ is a sacred reminder of the pivotal role that the Guru plays as a divine channel between the disciple and the Supreme Consciousness, guiding them through the trials of worldly existence. The celebration upholds and revitalizes the age-old Indian tradition of the Guru-disciple lineage, emphasizing the timeless importance of spiritual mentorship.
The major highlights of the devotional event include the sacred vedic mantras recited by the enlightened, selfless volunteers of DJJS. Through soul-stirring bhajans and powerful discourses, the event became a pious medium for infusing the lives of devotees with purpose, peace, and divine consciousness. The ceremonial Guru pujan and aarti were performed at the lotus feet of the Satguru, stirring every soul and transporting devotees to a realm of divine tranquillity. Disciples bow with folded hands and surrendered hearts, offering their minds and egos at the Guru’s lotus feet.

Citing the examples from our ancient culture, DJJS representatives beautifully highlighted that Shri Guru Purnima is not merely a date in the calendar; it is the eternal echo of the soul’s gratitude to the one who awakens it from spiritual slumber. The discourse then explored the deeper meaning of ‘Dev Durlabh,’ the extremely rare Guru who not only preaches but also initiates the seeker into self-realization. In a world of countless teachers, the Satguru is not the one who teaches; he transforms. He does not instruct from outside; he awakens from within. And such a Guru is ‘Dev Durlabh,’ rarest among all divine gifts. Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is such an extraordinary Guru, who is spirituality rich and extremely compassionate towards his followers. Every disciple participating in Shri Guru Pooja celebrations felt fortunate to receive this rare opportunity.
DJJS representatives highlighted that Shri Guru Purnima serves as a spiritual checkpoint where disciples introspect on their progress, renew their vows of dedication, and deepen their surrender at the Guru’s lotus feet. The Knowledge of ‘Brahm Gyan’ bestowed by Guru is not symbolic, philosophical, or abstract. It is the practical vision of the divinity within. Through this inner experience, disciples begin the real journey from illusion to truth, from ego to eternity.
Part of the celebrations was a spiritual play “Guru Kripa Hi Kevalam” performed by the selfless volunteers of DJJS that mesmerized the audience through its powerful depiction of Adi Guru Shankaracharya’s life. It portrayed his relentless search for a True Guru, his debate with ignorance, and his ultimate mission to re-establish the non-dualistic truth of Vedanta. Through this theatrical offering, DJJS emphasized the timeless necessity of a ‘Satguru,’ even in the case of the most intellectually profound beings.
Lastly, a collective meditation session was held to promote universal peace and harmony. Following the spiritual segments, a community feast was held where volunteers lovingly served prasad (Community langar) to all, upholding the spirit of equality and compassion.
Verily, the ‘Dev Durlabh Shri Guru Purnima Mahotsav’ was a profound inner celebration of the living presence of ‘Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.’ The event rekindled the fire of devotion, service, and spiritual purpose in every devotee.
