The Director of "Central Institute For Research On Cattle (CIRC), Meerut Dr. Birham Prakash visited the Kamdhenu Gaushala of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan on 18 Sep 2014. Dr. Yashwant singh (Animal Scientist, Regional Research & Training Centre, Kaljharani, Bathinda and Dr. P.P. Dubey (Asst. Scientist, GADVASU, Ludhiana) also accompanied Dr. Birham Parkash on this day. "Kamadhenu Gaushala" maintains systematic records of Sahiwal, Gir, Tharparkar & Kankrej breeds of cattle Likewise Calving Interval, Milking Intervals, Dry Period, History of Cows and Bulls etc. These data are very vital for research. The team headed by Dr.Brahmprakash had a thorough discussion on various issues like Progeny Testing Program, Availability of Semen In India, Breed Improvement, Conservation Of Indigenous Cattle. Dr Birham Parkash eulogised "Kamadhenu Gaushala" stating that it is one among the best Gaushala in the entire country where healthy and well nourished breeds of Sahiwal and other indigenous cattle are well cared for.
