To raise awareness about the significance of desi (indigenous) cow breeds in sustainable agriculture and ecological balance and to rekindle the spiritual and cultural importance of 'Gaupalan,' the 'Desi GaupalanTraining Workshop' was organized by 'Kamdhenu Wing,' an initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) from November 15th - 17th, 2024 at Nurmahal, Punjab. The workshop, which included specific activities or sessions, was a platform to promote sustainable cow-rearing practices and strengthen the connection between traditional Indian agriculture and modern veterinary sciences. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with 'Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University' (GADVASU), Ludhiana, and featured an exceptional line-up of renowned experts from diverse fields. Participants from over 18 states gained actionable insights into sustainable cow-rearing practices. They were equipped with practical skills in areas like organic manure preparation, feed optimization, and cow health management.

The workshop also featured a profound discourse by DJJS representative Swami Chinmayanand Ji to reconnect participants with the spiritual and cultural heritage of 'Desi Gaupalan,' emphasizing its importance through references to Lord Krishna and ancient Indian scriptures. Swami Ji highlighted that Kamdhenu Gaushala's philosophy of holistic sustainability, spiritual heritage, and environmental harmony are drawn from ancient Indian scriptures and the teachings of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder & Head, DJJS), emphasizing the sacred and practical significance of the cow (Kamdhenu) as a symbol of nurturing life. DJJS representative stressed blending ancient wisdom with scientific advancements for effective livestock management and preserving cultural heritage. He mentioned that the need of the hour is to recognize the spiritual and ecological significance of the cow as a pillar of Indian culture and the foundation of sustainable living.
