Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS), under its holistic health program ‘Aarogya’ organized “UTKARSH”- a Youth Health Education Workshop to inspire young people for healthy living and wellbeing at Jangid Samaj Hall, Tankbund road, Binnypete, Bengaluru in Karnataka on 24th September 2017. The workshop was conceived, designed and executed by the Preachers and volunteers at DJJS Bengaluru. A three and a half hour workshop encompassed the essential components of health such as physical health, emotional health, social health and spiritual health through group discussions, skits, talk sessions, quiz session and music.

The program began with Om Chanting. Swami Pradeepanand ji, a disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji, adressing the queries raised by the participants said that the modern lifestyle has brought many challenges to physical health as well as mental health and has become a major cause of various ailments amongst people across the globe. Problems like stress and depression are increasing not only amongst youth but also in children. But with balanced diet, exercises, yoga & pranayama and proper handling both positive and negative emotions one can lead a healthy life. He also said that spirituality is a strong motivational factor in bringing higher values of hope, purpose, faith, happiness and peace in our life. Thus regular praying and meditation helps to improve and maintain physical, mental and spiritual health.

Sadhvi Nishanka bharti ji, a disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji, talked about improving one’s personal and professional life. She also exhorted that we should harbor positive thoughts for good health as mind is a very powerful tool in both causing and curing any disease, and hence, mental discipline and adherence to moral and ethical values are considered a pre-requisite for good health.  A Quiz was conducted with participants to create general awareness about ayurveda, mental health, general medicine and human body. Young volunteers of DJJS presented a Skit on impacts of addiction to social media and making right career choice aligning with our skills rather than blindly following others. An exhilarating dance performance and music performance was given by the volunteers which left everyone in high spirits. The session ended with a group prayer ‘Sarve Bhawantu Sukhinah…..”.

The eminent guest Shri Jagat Ram ji, president of Navyuvak Mandal, Jangid Samaj, appreciated the efforts of the Sansthan. Around 170 people participated and benefitted through this event. Newspaper ‘Rajasthan Patrika’ covered this event.
