With yet another attempt to connect people to the ocean of peace, happiness and divinity, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized a stirring devotional concert on 26th February 2022 at Chandigarh, Punjab. A series of devotional bhajans spread the vibes of serenity and prepared the audience to receive the spiritual thoughts much needed in today’s times. Bhajans along with the enlightening interpretations stirred the spiritual chords of audience and colored them with the high spirits of devotion.
In a world full of negativity, hatred and war; depression and sadness seems to be an inevitable part of lives. In the blind quest of attaining more and more, humans today are losing peace of mind. In such a situation, the only resort to restore peace within and without is to surrender to the Supreme Divine Power – The Lord Almighty.
The orator of the program, Sadhvi Sumedha Bharti Ji, a disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder and Head of DJJS), aptly stated that whenever we get disconnected from our inner consciousness, we fall deep into the pit of negativity and sufferings. There are times in life, one feels a strange kind of distressing emptiness despite having all materialistic comforts. Verily, worldly pleasures can give only temporal happiness but the everlasting, eternal divine contentment can be attained only by getting connected to the soul. Hold on! The intention here is not to leave all the worldly duties but, to connect to the spiritual self that will provide wisdom to perform all the responsibilities in a better way.
Sadhvi Ji too gave references from a no. of scriptures about the importance of a spiritual master. All our holy scriptures says in unison that to get connected to the spiritual self, one must take shelter of a True Spiritual Mentor (Guru). The Mentor, who himself has seen God and also has the power to show it to all who comes in his divine tutelage! Only the Satguru bestows the Devotee with the Divine Knowledge - the knowledge of the Self. Life can flow with the streams of divinity and devotion only when one has the practical experience of God through this Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan).
After attaining this knowledge, the devotee dives into his inner world through meditation. The deeper he dives, the purer his thoughts become. Thus, through the knowledge of the self, Satguru purifies his disciple’s mind and strengthens him from within. Under a true master’s guidance, each disciple strives to follow the path of righteousness thereby experiencing transformation at the soul level too.
Sadhvi ji concluded the program by saying- Self-reformation is the root of social transformation. Unless and until the root is nourished, the shoot cannot have a healthy growth. So, reform the Self, the society will automatically be transformed! Such an evening unfolds a new beginning of spiritual interest. The audience was enlightened with the words of wisdom that directed their thought patterns towards the channel of divinity.
