Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan's Kamdhenu Gaushala was invited at ''National Seminar on Health & Self- reliance by Indigenous breeds of Cows'' at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 8th August, 2015. The One day seminar was conducted by Rashtriya Godhan Mahasangh in association with Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Ministry of Agriculture & National Welfare and Agricultural Research Institution (AWARI). The seminar was flagged off by Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister, Government of India, Shri Prakash Javdekar, Union Minister of State for Environment and Forest, Government of India, Shri Otaram Devasi, Minister in charge of Cow Affairs, Rajasthan Government, Shri Hriday Nath Singh, National Pracharak, RSS & Program Sanrakshak and Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary (DARE) & Director General, ICAR, Ministry of Agriculture together with few more dignitaries. The other eminent guests included Shri O. P. Dhankar, State Agricultural Minister, Government of Haryana, Shri Vijay Sampla, State Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, Dr. Vallabhbhai Kathiria, Chairman of Gauseva Ayog & Gauchar Vikas Board, Government of Gujarat were also present in the seminar along with the Deans of Various Agricultural Universities, senior scientists, veterinary doctors, gaushalas, breeders & farmers community across the country. The main highlighting points of the seminar were clear & strong policy against cow slaughtering, conservation & genetic improvement of Indigenous cattle, increasing the productivity of cows in India, providing forest land as grazing resource to cover the shortfall of green fodder for cows, encouraging organic farming & most importantly promoting the cow based products for better human health and self-sustainability.
