A new sunrise for the dynamic initiative of raising Indigenous breeds of Cows in India is on the horizon. Since 40-50 years, the Indian scientists have talked and practiced cross breeding of exotic cows and all such processes quiet haphazardly. However, as the exhibited photographs evidently state, the Indian Government is now actively working on practical grounds towards propagation and protection of the indigenous breeds. They are especially working on breeding and raising the milk yields of these cows.
In order to raise awareness and workout practical parameters towards the return of the flowing rivers of indigenous cow’s milk on Indian soil, a conference was organized by Indian Council of Agriculture Research ICAR, PUSA- Delhi. Minister of State For Agriculture And Food Processing, India Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Dr. S. Ayappan (Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR), Dr KLM Pathak (Deputy Director General, ICAR), Ex DDG, Ex Dg, Vice-Chancellors, Directors, Senior Scientists, NGOs, Spiritual Organisations and many others related to the conservation of Indigenous cattle came from all over India to participate in this conference.
Divya Jyoti Jagarati Sansthan was also invited by DDG to this conference. The special focus of this forum was the propagation of Indigenous cow breeds of India. Many suggestions were put forward in the 9-10 hours of meeting, which would also be shared with Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi, who in turn wants Indian milk yielding cow breeds to be restored to their lost glory.
Swami Chinmayanand (Preacher) represented Divya Jyoti Jagarti Sansthan's "Kamdhenu Gaushala" and, forwarded many suggestions to help enhance reinstating process of indigenous cows, as a recognized facet of Indian heritage and glorious tradition.’
