The purpose behind the recitation of Ram Katha is to impart the knowledge given in Shri Ramcharitmanas- written by Tulsidas, to unravel the hidden meaning contained in the divine text.

The Katha Vyas Sadhvi Sachi Bharti ji, disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashtosh Maharaj ji, gloriously elaborated the life and deeds of the supreme power –Lord Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu .She presented incidences from the Ramcharitmanas, acquainting the audiences with the gifts of Devotion (Bhakti), Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan) and Salvation (Mukti). Sadhvi ji encapsulated this by reciting a verse “bade bhag manus tan pava, sur durlabh sab granthin gava”- Only humans have been given the principle and power of wisdom and deed by the lord’s grace. The sole purpose of human life is to do the supreme work- attain bhakti, gyan and mukti from the cycles of life and death.

The captivating discourse was accompanied by devotional and soulful bhajans. The audience could be seen completely immersed.

The Katha was especially dedicated to one of Divya Jyoti Jagriti sansthan’s social welfare initiative, Project Antardrishti which works towards the welfare and empowerment of people with disabilities.  The beneficiaries of the Antardrishti project are today not only leading transformed lives themselves as part of mainstream society, but they are also able to use their energy to convey a message of positivity. These special people are an example to society, as they very well know how to lead their life for others, who apparently are more privileged themselves.

The key was to spread awareness about the cause amongst the people. Lot of people showed keen interest in knowing more about the project and, desire to contribute towards the cause.

Katha also showcased an exhibition showing different social  projects run by Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan under the  divine guidance of Shri Ashutosh  Maharaj ji  like , Antarkranti (prison reformation program), Manthan (holistic education program for the underprivileged), PEACE workshops, Bodh (drug de-addiction program), Santulan (women empowerment program).

The last two days of the program also witnessed a large number of people being initiated into Brahm Gyan with the grace of Shri Ashutosh Mahara ji.

On the whole, the Katha proved to be a powerful medium of familiarizing the masses with the dire need to transform themselves by attaining Brahm gyan.
