Drug Rehab Centres: SANKALP CAMPAIGN EXTENDS COUNSELING SUPPORT TO DRUG ADDICTS ON THEIR PATH TO RECOVERY

Steered by this spirit of compassion, DJJS BODH, in collaboration with Yuva Pariwar Sewa Samiti (YPSS), conducted a series of counseling- and treatment–focused awareness programs across Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in the last few months of 2025. Altogether, 180 beneficiaries across multiple centres were meaningfully impacted through structured counseling, therapeutic activities, and spiritually enriching interactions.

Why DJJS BODH Works in the Rehab Sector

Drug Rehab Centres: SANKALP CAMPAIGN EXTENDS COUNSELING SUPPORT TO DRUG ADDICTS ON THEIR PATH TO RECOVERY

While many rehabilitation centres in India have strong detoxification facilities, a critical lapse exists after detoxification—the lack of continuous counseling and structured post-rehab support. Studies and field observations indicate that 40–60% of individuals relapse within the first year due to inadequate counseling, emotional instability, weak follow-up, and social triggers.

Once individuals return home or re-enter mainstream life, most rehab centres are unable to provide sustained follow-up or community-level engagement. This transition phase becomes the most vulnerable period, often leading individuals back into old environments, peer pressure, and substance use.

To fulfil this gap, DJJS extends its hands to rehabilitation centres—ensuring sustained recovery results through continuous counseling, after-care support, and value-based engagement through its pan-India centres with door-to-door connectivity.

DJJS BODH’s Strength: Counseling, After-Care & Relapse Prevention

With over 30 years’ experience in counseling and spiritual guidance, DJJS BODH brings a time-tested model of relapse prevention and after-care. The focus is not only on quitting addiction but on maintaining recovery through:

  • Regular emotional and value-based counseling
  • Engagement through small, meaningful activities
  • Preventing isolation and re-entry into addictive social circles
  • Strengthening inner resilience through spirituality and purpose

This long-term engagement significantly reduces relapse risk and complements medical detoxification.

Program Highlights

Gwalior – Shiv Shakti Nasha Mukti Kendra:
Volunteers conducted interactive activities such as the Cup & Ball Balance Game, water value demonstration, and paper rope activity, helping participants understand focus, resilience, and emotional balance. Spiritual reflections inspired by the teachings of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji encouraged deep self-reflection and inner transformation.

Gwalior – Swarg Sewa Sadan Ashram:
At this home for mentally challenged and abandoned individuals, motivational songs, a “Vices vs Virtues” balloon activity, and personal interactions created moments of joy, dignity, and emotional reassurance.

Noida (Sector 104):
At Tapasaya Foundation Rehab Centre, an impactful nukkad natak highlighted the harsh realities of substance abuse and relapse. At another rehab centre, motivational talks, skits, and interactive counseling helped residents rebuild confidence and regain hope.

Strengthening the SANKALP Mission

Conducted under the SANKALP – Drug-Free India Campaign (2025–2029), these programs aim to support individuals undergoing de-addiction, emotional distress, and social abandonment. Each session served as a step toward long-term recovery, emotional resilience, and a drug-free Bharat.
