‘विलक्षण योग एवं साधना शिविर’ - a two days empowering and energizing Yoga and Meditation Camp was organized by DJJS Ludhiana branch of Punjab at Kailash Nagar Chowk, G.T. Road on 17th & 18th of February 2018.

A healthy mind lives in a healthy body. Mental health is imperative for physical health. DJJS ‘Vilakshan Yog Shivir’ is a special camp which enumerates the significance and importance of ‘Yoga and Pranayama’; in overall healing of the body & mind and attainment of perfect equilibrium and harmony of Body, Mind & Soul. The shivir covers yogasans, pranayama, relaxation, meditation as well as ayurvedic health care tips etc.

Over 1700 people (750 men, 900 women & 50 children) participated in the three days yoga camp, wherein Sadhvi Ambalika Bharti and Sadhvi Somprabha Bharti undertook Yogasanas, Pranayama and Meditation sessions. In three hour long session, the participants were taught basic Yogasana and Pranayama techniques. This was followed by a one hour of ‘Samuhik Dhyana’ (group meditation) to harness spiritual potential. The session ended with Om chanting’ and recitation of mantras such as ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’ and Shanti Path’ (peace prayer) seeking health, peace and harmony for all.

On this occasion, Sadhvi Rupeshwari Bharti said “Based on the holistic principles of harmony and unification within body and self, Yoga’s simple postures leave a powerful impact against busy lifestyle demands. Yoga has also emerged as an alternative form of therapy to mental stress & chronic ailments in the people. A healthy mind lives in a healthy body, Mental health is imperative for physical health. Thus for holistic health, the ancient practice of meditation is as integral to yoga as the asana and pranayama are because they all help to harmonize at body, mind & soul.”

There was an over whelming response from the participants.
